A downloadable game for Windows

A dual-natured hero fights fires as he fights a battle within himeself.

Game made for the Weekly Game Jam 143 following the theme: "Running Water".  As you will see, a lot of water will be running from our hero's eyes as he tries to put out raging flames, while fighting his own demons... or should we say fairies?

In case you were wondering...

We are aware that we went from brainstorming about water flow puzzles to a bizarre and dramatic character that shoots water from his eyes like a bipolar fire hydrant. Is it still a game about "running water"?  We are not sure about that, but we can guarantee that every bit of pixely water running from the hero's eyes is completely genuine.

Amazing job, guys! It's tough to see a clear mechanic in "balancing" between the two sides - not sure if there was some kind of time strategy to take advantage of. In any case, a great work, solid idea and execution. Keep it up!

Incredible the amount of polish and quality! Love the pixel art, love the opening music, love the feel and even the little dialogue between the two sides. Even putting in controller support!? That's dedication. One question I have is about using godot for this game. What are your thoughts of the engine? I've always thought about trying to learn it, but can't seem to find the place to start.

Anyways, great game, one tweak I would do is reduce the time on the zoom out of the character on the city. Feels too long after seeing it more than once.

Thanks we worked really hard!  I personally have used Unity and Godot for some pretty serious indie work.  I love Unity, its what I did most my first real attempt at a game in but Godot is way nimbler.  That's something I have come to prioritize.  Unity's 3D is far stronger but the simplicity of Godot is something that allows, me at least, to fly through what needs doing.  At this point I don't think I'd go back, even for 3D as Godot is getting stronger there.  From what you've done in Unity you're more than capable of doing good work in Godot.  GDQuest and my personal favorite Gamesfromscratch are two awesome places to start learning the ins and outs but to be honest, where I am, a lot of times I go to Unity people like Brackeys and GameGrind see how they solve code problems and just go from there.

As to the camera taking a long time, this is a debate I had with myself for two days XD.  If we are allowed to update you can look out for being able to skip after you've played the game once before.

Wow! the amount of detail and design put into this in one week is pretty darn amazing, if you ask me. I like the opening scenes and how the player gets thrown into CryFighter's emotions. =]
